Couchette (Feeding) Time

You have no idea the amount of food this small boy can put away in one sitting - where does
he put it?!!!
No breakfast for me this morning – think the nerves and sympathy got to me and I asked Alfiya and Elena to tell the Director we needed to talk to her about the medical. She said ‘No problem’! Everyone here has had their highs and lows since we got here - when anyone sits in one of the back seats of our plush chauffeur driven van! they are either sick or upset!!!! We will all move down when the snow comes - no seatbelts and only one 'Jesus handle'!!
First we played with Sasha. Today and yesterday he was a little lethargic. He has a cold and I think the heat was bothering him. He liked to lie crossways in my arms and look up at me. He was quite content but did not like to be left down on the floor.
Irish Alex came up to see little Alex and we have a great photo of them with little Alex crying. He did not want to be with him – is that a good sign for bonding?
Sue also came to visit today. Did not know what to make of her either until she sang ‘Nellie the Elephant’ to him. Then all was fine!!

The director listened to all our concerns and reassured us that she does not have any worries about Sasha. He is gaining weight. He will grow, does not think he will be small and is doing okay. She reassured us that he is healthy and…. Just needs lots of porridge!! We did feel better coming out from her office.

Alfiya was waiting for us to sign documents – forget what they were now…

Our afternoon visit was lovely…. Tanya the caregiver was lovely. We got to go out with Sasha to feed him his food. He was having a bowl of grated apple. He ate it all and then drank his kefir. It is amazing how we are all getting to know each other so much better. He is a cute little guy. They put them sitting on his potty with all his little buddies and the carer pulls up a little chair and talks to them and makes them laugh and they all sit there and don’t try to get off. Amazing!!!

Slava aka Tony Edwards, the hall porter allowed us in to the closed business centre to send an email back to Dr. Jenista. That was good.

Later we all went to dinner in the pancake house and had a good laugh!! Two more large P-Va bolshoi.

Have learned:
mallenki – small
so next night will order a small beer!!!

Other new words:
F-Siur – that’s it
Malla-diertz – good boy/girl or even person. Posted by Picasa
