Feeding the swans at Ballyalla Lake! (Called Baile an Eala - Town of the Swans!) This is only a short walk from our new house that is now one year on and should be finished before 2010 if the current rate of progression is maintained!! We love this amenity and come out here regularly and just want you all to see it so that you will plan on visiting us - We would especially love to have some U.S. visitors!! All you Irish guys are welcome too!! - But you know that don't you! I LOVE visitors...
Darrelle was fortunate to be asked to join a 'GrĂºpa Ceoil (Music group) during the summer. She was keen to try it out and loves it. They ended up taking part in the All-Ireland in Letterkenny at the end of August - though she likes to call it an 'All World' competition as there were groups from Scotland, England and the U.S. taking part. They had a great weekend and the icing on the cake was they came second which is a great achievement. This picture was taken when they had to gather for a photo for a local newspaper - Darrelle is on the far right. These guys are good and it is great that they get a chance to play together as opposed to learning these instruments and just playing individually.
That was just a dip into the archives so now should get back to the real business of keeping people up-to-date on how our adoption is progressing - or not. Need to start using the camera a lot more!! Watch this space!!

Yea, Darrelle! You're a celebrity. =) You look so lovely in your outfit. Is that a traditional Irish dress you're wearing? Is it the violin you play, or viola or fiddle?
I'm glad to hear you're a great big sissy. And you're about to be one again soon!! Can't wait to hear all about it.
